The African American Community Health Equity Council is established as an independent community body in collaboration with the San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH) – African American Health Initiative (AAHI).
The purpose of the council is to address and reduce health disparities and support health equity for African Americans in San Francisco through promoting citywide collaboration, policy/advocacy and promotion of civic engagement.
The council will work in partnership and collaboration with community residents, SFDPH-AAHI Project and other individuals and organizations seeking health equity.
